Desert Eve Red, also known as Common Yarrow, Achillea Millefolium, or Milfoil, is a perennial landscape plant native to Europe. Achilles, of Greek mythology, used his namesake plant to treat battlefield wounds. While its medicinal use is minimal, Syngenta developed this Achillea cultivar for a shorter production time, making it the earliest flowering variety available, suitable for spring sales. Desert Eve offers an upright habit of 16-20" tall and 18-24" wide with clusters of red flowers that bloom from April to September. Hardy in zone 5-9, yarrow flourishes in full sun in containers, cottage gardens, sunny borders, and cut flower gardens.
