Ageratum Aloha Blue Seedling Tray

For best results with Aloha Blue, plant one rooted plug per 1801 cell or 4-inch container. Use well-drained soil with a pH of 5.5-6.0, EC of 0.75-1.5, temperatures of 70-80 daytime and 58-62 nighttime, and light feed (100-150 ppm N). Supply extra iron to treat chlorosis and apply magnesium sulfate once or twice. Use light levels of 1800-2200 fc and note that long days encourage early blooming. This plant will respond to daminozide if needed. You may see aphids or whiteflies. This plant can be susceptible to powdery mildew, botrytis, and rust, especially in cool and wet conditions.

Fragrant, feathery blue flowers bloom from late spring through fall.

This plant doesn't require pinching.

Space containers for adequate airflow and sunlight penetration around the base and foliage of each plant.

This plant doesn't typically need PGRs but responds to daminozide.

You may see aphids and whiteflies.

Ageratum Bumble can be susceptible to powdery mildew, botrytis, and rust, especially during humid nights and cool days. Take these preventative steps to protect your plants:

1. Water at the base of each plant in the morning and allow the soil to dry between waterings. Don't allow the plants to wilt. 

2. Provide good airflow in your greenhouse. We recommend using horizontal airflow fans. Space containers so air can reach the soil level of each plant.

3. Grow plants in full sun.

4. Use a fungicide if needed.

We recommend planting one rooted liner per 1801 cell or 4-inch container. Use well-drained soil and completely bury the ellepot in the center of the container. Cell packs finish in 6-7 weeks.
