Winter White, also known as Arenaria Montana or Sandwort, is a perennial flower native to southwest Europe. Syngenta developed this cultivar as a compact variety that blooms without vernalization. It offers an upright mounded habit of 4-6" tall and 10-12" wide with white flowers from early to late spring. Perennial in zone 6-9, Sandwort flourishes in full or partial sun with moderate water, bringing whimsy to patio containers, cottage and rock gardens, and landscape borders. General Growing Tips For Your Rooted Cutting Liner
For best results with Winter White, plant one rooted liner per 4-inch container or two per gallon container. Use a well-drained soil with a pH of 5.8-6.2, EC of SME 1.5-2.1 or PourThru 2.3-3.2, temperatures of 66-68 daytime and 56-58 nighttime, and light feed (75-125 ppm N). Use a Bonzi drench if needed. This plant needs long days (14 hours of 4,000-6,000 fc). This plant benefits from 7-8 weeks of cold treatment at 50 degrees on average but doesn't require vernalization. You may see aphids. This plant can be prone to root rot, Botrytis, and powdery mildew in wet conditions.

2. Space containers for airflow around each plant and to allow sunlight to penetrate to the soil level.
3. Provide adequate airflow in your greenhouse. We recommend using horizontal airflow fans.
Planting Winter White Liners
