Brasco Violet, also known as Swan River Daisy or Brachyscome Angustifolia, is a flowering plant native to Australia. Danziger developed the Brasco cultivar for early flowering and a long blooming season. This variety is heat tolerant, low maintenance, and doesn't require deadheading to bloom continuously from spring through summer. Medium blue-purple flowers cover lacy green foliage with a mounded habit of 12-18" tall and 10-14" wide. This plant flourishes in hanging baskets, containers, rock gardens, and landscape borders with full sun and moderate water. For a compact variety, try Fresco Purple.
Brasco Violet Selling Tips
Sell Brasco Violet to customers looking for a flowering plant for a hanging basket or container. This plant blooms continuously from spring through summer with little work and moderate water. Flourishing in full sun, Brasco offers a mounded habit of 12-18" tall with prolific blue-purple flowers all season. Create attractive contrast in a landscape bed or mixed container by pairing Brasco with Verbena, Geranium, and Coreopsis. This plant is perennial in zone 10-11 and grown as an annual in colder climates.
Coach Your Customer
1. Space plants 10-14" apart in well-drained soil in full sun.
2. Water regularly, but don't allow roots to be in standing water.
3. Fertilize twice monthly during the growing season.
General Growing Tips For Your Rooted Cutting Liner
For best results with Brasco Violet, plant one rooted liner per 4-inch container or 4-5 per 10-inch basket. Use a well-drained soil with a pH of 5.8-6.2, temperatures of 65-73 daytime and 56-61 nighttime, moderate feed (175-225 ppm N), and 5,000-9,000 fc of light. Pinch once if desired. This plant doesn't require PGRs. You may see thrips, whiteflies, and botrytis.
Flowering
Blue-purple flowers bloom from spring through summer.
Pinching
Pinch once if desired.
Spacing
Space containers for adequate airflow around the base of each plant and to allow sunlight to penetrate to the soil level.
Height Control
This plant doesn't require PGRs.
Pests
You may see thrips or whiteflies.
Disease
This plant isn't prone to disease, but botrytis can be a concern while the days are short or in wet, humid conditions. Take precautions by following a few simple steps in your greenhouse.
1. Water at the base of each plant in the morning, allowing the soil to dry between waterings.
2. Provide good airflow in your greenhouse. We recommend using horizontal airflow fans.
3. Space containers to allow sunlight to reach the base of each plant.
Planting Brasco Violet Liners
We recommend planting one rooted liner per 4-inch container or 4-5 per 10-inch basket. Use a well-drained soil and completely bury the ellepot centered or evenly spaced in the container.
Rooted Cuttings
Cuttings vary in size between different plant families. These rooted starter plants will arrive ready to be transplanted in to your final container. If they are to be used in a landscape application, you will need to establish them in a 4 inch pot or an 1801 before planting outside.

Before we take this relationship any further...
It looks like this is the first time you've added anything to your cart.
We just wanted to remind you that we are a wholesale starter plant company that sells to businesses, schools, clubs, and other non-profits. State law dictates that you must be growing for resale to order from us since we are not collecting sales tax.
If we aren't a match, we understand. It's not you, it's us.
We would look awful in orange jumpsuits.
