Leucanthemum Lucille Grace (also known as Shasta Daisy Lucille Grace) is a cultivar of the Shasta Daisy developed and bred by Danziger. The Shasta Daisy is a hybrid of European Oxeye Daisy, Pyrenees Chrysanthemum, Portuguese Field Daisy, and Japanese field daisy developed in the 1890s by Luther Burbank. Lucille Grace is notable because it flowers in the first year with no need for bulking or vernalization, as opposed to the Victorian Secret and Coconut varieties which require 8 weeks of vernalization; this makes it available earlier for longer blooming time. Lucille Grace is a lovely addition to flower beds, reaching 18-24" in height. It does well in full sun and offers large, white single flowers from Spring through Fall. Lucille Grace is wonderful for cutting, offering a classic Shasta Daisy single flower, different from the more complex Victorian Secret or Coconut varieties.
Lucille Grace Selling Tips
Sell Lucille Grace to your customers who are looking for an early blooming daisy, as Lucille Grace begins blooming about a month before Victorian Secret or Coconut varieties. This is a low-maintenance, tall Shasta Daisy variety that flourishes in full sun and well-drained soil and is hardy through zone 4. The classic large single flower which blooms May-September is a wonderful addition to large landscape borders, cutting gardens, and 2 gallon containers.
Coach your customer:
Space Lucille Grace plants 14-16 inches apart in well-drained soil in full sun.
Deadhead flowers to encourage continuous growth.
Use in borders, containers, and cut flower gardens.
General Growing Tips For Your Rooted Cutting Liner
For the best results with Lucille Grace, use well-drained soil in full sun with 100-150 ppm weekly and a pH of 5.8-6.2. Plant 1 plug per 4 inch pot or 1801. We recommend spacing containers 7-10" for airflow and light penetration. In a landscape application, plants should be 14-16 inches apart. For a more compact variety, try Leucanthemum Victorian Secret. Look out for aphids and mites.

Before we take this relationship any further...
It looks like this is the first time you've added anything to your cart.
We just wanted to remind you that we are a wholesale starter plant company that sells to businesses, schools, clubs, and other non-profits. State law dictates that you must be growing for resale to order from us since we are not collecting sales tax.
If we aren't a match, we understand. It's not you, it's us.
We would look awful in orange jumpsuits.
