Use a well-drained soil with a pH of 5.8–6.2 and provide a moderate weekly feed of 200–250 ppm Nitrogen. Maintain greenhouse temperatures between 60–75°F (15–24°C) to prevent disease and maintain a compact habit .  

Benary's Giant Zinnias offer a long flowering season, producing vibrant blooms from spring until frost. As a facultative short-day crop, flowering is accelerated during shorter days.

 The Benary’s Giant series typically does not require pinching or the use of plant growth regulators (PGRs) . Their thick stems are naturally strong enough to support the heavy blooms .

When transplanting, space plants 12-18 inches apart to ensure plants have adequate space. 

Keep a close watch for thrips, whiteflies, aphids, spider mites, and leafminers .

The most frequent issues include powdery mildew, various leaf spots (Bacterial and Alternaria), botrytis, and pythium.

For best results, plant one plug per cell pack or 4-inch pot. Larger 10-inch containers perform well with 3 to 4 plugs per pot, resulting in a more robust finished crop.
