Purple Knight, also known as Alternanthera dentata, Joseph's Coat, and Joyweed, is an herbaceous perennial native to the West Indies and Brazil. Perennial in zone 9-11, this plant flourishes in full or partial sun with moderate water. Dark purple foliage has an upright, mounded habit 18-36" tall and wide, bringing texture and color to containers and landscape borders.
