Buddleja Davidii, also known as Butterfly Bush, is a perennial upright shrub native to China and Japan. The "Buzz" cultivar was developed in England by Thompson and Morgan as a compact, non-invasive variety. Davidii Buzz Hot Raspberry is sterile and reaches 3-5' tall by 2-3' wide, making it the perfect patio shrub. Though the bush takes up less space than the typical Buddleja, the flowers are still 6-8" long, fragrant, and in bloom from June-September. This plant attracts bees and butterflies and will tolerate any well-drained soil. Buzz is low-maintenance and hardy in zones 5-9. Pair Davidii Buzz Hot Raspberry with Buzz Purple or Buzz Ivory to create a colorful shrub border.

Davidii Buzz Hot Raspberry Selling Tips
Sell Buddleja to customers looking for a low-maintenance border shrub or large patio container plant. Butterfly Bush will attract pollinators to the garden or patio and adds visual interest all summer into the fall without adding to garden maintenance. Davidii Buzz is a must for any wildlife or butterfly garden. Davidii Buzz Hot Raspberry pairs well with Echinacea, Asclepias, Salvia, Monarda, and Perovskia to create a delightful cottage-style perennial garden. In ideal conditions, planted in the ground, these perennials will live up to 10 years. Container shrubs may require transplanting after a few years.
Coach Your Customer
1. Whether in a large container or the ground, plant Buddleja Davidii Buzz in well-drained soil in full sun. While this shrub can withstand average soil and some drought, it does not succeed in overly wet conditions. Water containers a few times a week and landscape Buddleja once a week.
2. Deadhead blooms promptly for a tidy appearance and to encourage continuous blooming until first frost.
3. Cut back to 12-24" after last frost or in early spring (or, in colder climates, it will die back on its own). Fertilize once a year in spring.
General Growing Tips For Your Rooted Cutting Liner
For the best results with Davidii Buzz Hot Raspberry, use well-drained soil in full sun with a pH of 6.0-7.0. Plant 1 plug per 3-gallon container. Watch for spider mites. Allow soil to dry between waterings. In a landscape environment, Buddleja Davidii Buzz is low-maintenance, requiring only moderate water and deadheading.
Flowering
6-8" long conical dark pink flowers bloom from June-September. Prompt deadheading encourages continuous blooming until first frost.
Pinching
This plant doesn't require pinching.
Spacing
Space 3-gallon containers three feet apart for adequate airflow and light penetration.
Height Control
Davidii Buzz Hot Raspberry doesn't require chemical growth regulators. Cut back to 12-24" tall in the fall after the first frost or in the spring before the last frost.
Pests
You may see spider mites. Buddleja Davidii isn't prone to many pests.
Disease
Davidii Buzz isn't prone to disease. Take these precautions to prevent root rot and fungus:
1. Water in the morning at the base of the plant. Allow the top of the soil to dry out between waterings.
2. Space pots properly and provide adequate airflow. Use fans to increase airflow in your greenhouse.
Planting Davidii Buzz Hot Raspberry Liners
We recommend planting one plug per 3-gallon container. Use well-drained soil and completely bury the ellepot in the center of your pot.
Rooted Cuttings
Cuttings vary in size between different plant families. These rooted starter plants will arrive ready to be transplanted in to your final container. If they are to be used in a landscape application, you will need to establish them in a 4 inch pot or an 1801 before planting outside.

Before we take this relationship any further...
It looks like this is the first time you've added anything to your cart.
We just wanted to remind you that we are a wholesale starter plant company that sells to businesses, schools, clubs, and other non-profits. State law dictates that you must be growing for resale to order from us since we are not collecting sales tax.
If we aren't a match, we understand. It's not you, it's us.
We would look awful in orange jumpsuits.
