General Growing Tips For Your Seedling Tray
Grow Sweet Purple in full sun or bright greenhouse conditions with well-drained soil or media. Keep the pH around 5.8–6.5 and avoid wet, heavy growing conditions around the roots. Feed regularly with a nitrate or calcium-based fertilizer such as 15-5-15 at 175–225 ppm nitrogen.
Flowering
Flowering occurs most in high-light conditions. Be aware that if high-light conditions are paired with high heat, the stems will be shorter.
Pinching
Pinching is not recommended and unnecessary for standard cut-flower production.
Spacing
A density of 4–6 plants per square foot is ideal for cut-flower production. Space garden plantings 10–14 inches apart for healthy growth.
