General Growing Tips For Your Rooted Cutting Liner
For best results with Sundiascia Upright Peach, plant one rooted plug per 4- or 6-inch container or four per 10-inch container. Use a well-drained soil with a pH of 5.6-6.0, temperatures of 64-75 daytime and 52-59 nighttime, and moderate feed (200-250 ppm N). Maintain light of at least 5,000 fc and pinch once, 10-14 days after transplanting. This plant doesn't typically need PGRs with enough light but will respond to one to three sprays of B-Nine in low-light conditions. You may see aphids and whiteflies, and this plant can be prone to botrytis, root rot, and crown rot.
Flowering
Three-inch peach flower spikes bloom from early spring until fall.
Pinching
Pinch once, 10-14 days after transplanting.
Spacing
Space containers for adequate airflow and sunlight penetration around the base of each plant and so that foliage isn't touching.
Height Control
This plant doesn't typically require PGRs. Under low light conditions, it may benefit from one to three sprays of B-Nine.
Pests
You may see aphids and whiteflies.
Disease
Botrytis, root rot, and crown rot can affect this plant. To prevent crown rot, be careful not to bury the crown of the plug too deeply. Practice good sanitation in your greenhouse by using clean, virus-free media for planting. Apply a broad spectrum fungicide at transplant if desired. Prevent fungal infection by following a few steps in your greenhouse.
1. Water at the base of each plant in the morning and allow the soil to dry out between waterings.
2. Provide good airflow in your greenhouse. We recommend using horizontal airflow fans.
3. Space containers so sunlight can reach the soil level of each plant.
Planting Sundiascia Upright Peach Liners
We recommend planting one rooted liner per 4- or 6-inch container or four plugs per 10-inch container. Use a well-drained, sanitary media and barely bury the crown of the ellepot centered or evenly spaced in the container.
Rooted Cuttings
Cuttings vary in size between different plant families. These rooted starter plants will arrive ready to be transplanted in to your final container. If they are to be used in a landscape application, you will need to establish them in a 4 inch pot or an 1801 before planting outside.
