Dracaena Indivisa (often called Spike Plant) is a tropical upright cane with cascading leaves that weep over slightly as they grow. This drought-tolerant plant is commonly used in combination plantings to add texture and height to the amalgamation. Dracaena Indivisa is low maintenance and has an attractive foliage spread.
Our Dracaena starter plants are well-rooted and ready to go in your final container. We recommend growing the starter plug in a 3-4" pot for 4-6 weeks before adding it to your mixed container.
General Growing Tips For Your Seedling Tray
For best results with Dracaena Indivisa, use a water-soluble feed of 150-200 ppm N once a month. A pH between 5.8 and 6.5 is important for the healthiest plant color. It is possible for Dracaena to get fluoride toxicity from the soil. The major symptom of fluoride toxicity is brown spotting on the leaves. In order to lower the chances of that happening, keep your pH in check. The more acidic the soil, the higher the chance of the plant absorbing additional fluoride. Avoid fertilizers that use superphosphate, as these will exacerbate your fluoride problems.
Pinching
Dracaena Indivisa do not require pinching.
Spacing
Space pots 6-18 inches depending on your plant size.
Height Control
Plant growth regulators are not recommended for Dracaena.
Pests
Aphids are the insects to watch for with Dracaena Indivisa.
Disease
Dracaena Indivisa is not prone to many diseases, but don't oversaturate the soil. If the plant sits in moist soil for an extended amount of time, you could end up with root rot or botrytis. Botrytis grey rot is usually associated with wet or humid conditions. You can prevent botrytis by allowing the plant to dry out between waterings, allowing for good airflow in your greenhouse, and spacing to allow the sun to penetrate to the soil level. The most common chemicals used to treat botrytis and root rot are Medallion and Banrot. Use them as a drench according to each label's instructions.
Planting Dracaena Indivisa Liners
We recommend planting 1 starter plants per 4 inch pot. Use a well-drained soil in your pots and plant your starter plants deep, allowing the ellepot to be completely covered by the soil.
Pinching is not recommended.
Rooted Cuttings
Cuttings vary in size between different plant families. These rooted starter plants will arrive ready to be transplanted in to your final container. If they are to be used in a landscape application, you will need to establish them in a 4 inch pot or an 1801 before planting outside.

Before we take this relationship any further...
It looks like this is the first time you've added anything to your cart.
We just wanted to remind you that we are a wholesale starter plant company that sells to businesses, schools, clubs, and other non-profits. State law dictates that you must be growing for resale to order from us since we are not collecting sales tax.
If we aren't a match, we understand. It's not you, it's us.
We would look awful in orange jumpsuits.
