Helichrysum Silver Mist Seedling Tray

For best results with Silver Mist, plant one rooted plug per 1801 cell or 4-inch container or three per 6-inch container. Use well-drained soil with a pH of 5.5-6.5, EC of 1.5-2.0 mS/cm, medium feed (225-300 ppm N), and temperatures of 65-75 daytime and 62-65 nighttime. Don't pinch or use PGRs. This plant isn't prone to pests but may develop botrytis in overly wet conditions.

Space containers for adequate airflow and sunlight penetration around the base and foliage of each plant. 

Don't use PGRs with this plant. Stretching isn't a problem with proper cultural practices.

This plant isn't prone to pests. 

Silver Mist isn't prone to disease but can be susceptible to botrytis in overly wet conditions. Implement an Integrated Pest Management strategy in your greenhouse. Watch for signs of botrytis and do not overwater. Water at the base of each plant in the morning, allowing the soil to dry between waterings.

Botrytis is a common fungal disease that causes brown spots on stems, leaves, and flowers. Remove and destroy affected plants, maintain appropriate humidity levels, and apply fungicides with boscalid, fenhexamid, or iprodione to control the spread. Water plants in the morning and allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings.

We recommend planting one seedling plug per 1801 cell or 4-inch container or three per gallon container. Use well-drained soil and center or evenly space the ellepots in the containers. Gallon containers finish in 9-10 weeks.
