Rudbeckia Flame Rooted Cutting Liner

For best results with Flame, plant one rooted plug per 6- or 10-inch container. Use well-drained soil with a pH of 5.8-6.2, EC of 1.8-2.2, temperatures of 65-75 daytime and 55-65 nighttime, and light feed (150-200 ppm N). This plant requires vernalization and long days to flower. Don't pinch or use PGRs. Watch for aphids, thrips, and whiteflies. Botrytis can develop during short, humid days or in overly wet conditions. 

Red-eyed yellow flowers up to 4" in diameter bloom from summer to frost.

This plant doesn't require pinching.

Space containers for adequate airflow and sunlight penetration around the base and foliage of each plant.

This plant doesn't require PGRs.

You may see aphids, thrips, and whiteflies.

This plant isn't prone to disease, but Botrytis or Powdery Mildew can develop in wet, humid conditions. Take these precautions in your greenhouse.

1. Always practice good sanitization and properly dispose of infected materials.

2. Water at the base of each plant in the morning and allow soil to dry between waterings.

3. Provide good airflow. We recommend using horizontal airflow fans.

4. Space containers so airflow and sunlight can reach the soil level of each plant.

We recommend planting one rooted liner per 6- or 10-inch container. Use well-drained soil and completely bury the ellepot in the center of the container.
