Snowcap, also known as Shasta Daisy, is a perennial hybrid developed by Luther Burbank in the 1890s. This variety offers pure white flowers with yellow centers from late spring to midsummer. Bring charm to patio containers, borders, cut flower gardens, and cottage gardens, attracting butterflies to the landscape with Snowcap. This dwarf Shasta Daisy is perennial in zone 5-9, deer and rabbit resistant, and drought tolerant, flourishing in full sun with moderate water. This facultative long-day plant requires daylight extension to 14 hours at 4,000-6,000 fc. This variety needs vernalization for eight weeks at or below 45 degrees. Watch for aphids, thrips, and botrytis.
